Monday morning there was a short but strong storm. We lost power at 10am. Tuesday at 3pm power was restored. 29 hours. I do not recall ever being without electricity for so long (in my own house).
I am thankful it happened during the summer when we have the sun shining until late and we did not have to worry about freezing. Sweating yes, but I think that is better than freezing. Thankful also that we had water and hot water.
We passed the time with puzzles by flashlight and cooling off in the pool before bed.
What do you do with the left over dry ice that was keeping your fridge and freezer cold?
