In honor of Dragon Boat Festival we watched some youtube videos of races.
Then we made zongzi. It was labor intensive.
I tasked the girls with drying off the bamboo leaves that had soaked overnight. This lasted a few minutes. Meanwhile I cooked up the ingredients that would go inside.
Still we all enjoyed them. Personally it was a little bland for me but that was my own fault for not using fatty meat. I do not like the fatty meat so I wanted to see what it would be like to use something different. I look forward to trying a new recipe next time.
